Who we are

Hines was founded by Gerald D. Hines in the US in 1957. Since then the firm has developed more than 248 million square feet. of space (including projects currently under development) in 17 countries around the world. The company controls assets valued at around $23 billion.

Established in 2000, Hines UK now has over three million sq. ft. of projects acquired, completed or in the pipeline with a total value in excess of £750m. Current projects include:

What we do

Hines provides extensive development, investment and asset management services.  We specialise in the acquisition, development, asset management of, and investment in large-scale, office, industrial, residential and mixed-use assets.

Our activities are focused on London and the South East, the Thames Valley, and selective major UK cities, such as Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester. Typically, we review acquisition opportunities with a value of £20 million and above.  We have access to capital from our contractual relationships with the firm’s proprietary funds, third-party funds and the Hines family.

What we are looking for

We are interested in suitable office, residential, industrial and mixed-use development as well as renovation opportunities in London, the Thames Valley and other main UK property markets. We are keen to find deals that can be funded by Hines’ own funds or third-party capital.

We are actively seeking core investment and value-add opportunities for the Hines Core Fund and the Hines Global REIT. 

We also believe we have the skills and knowledge to help other property owners – whether private or public sector organisations, local or regional government – optimise their real estate portfolios.  Similarly, we can help property owners, such as banks, manage their problem assets.
