McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants, Inc. Expands Presence in Minnesota

Second Minneapolis Restaurant will be an M&S Grill

(PORTLAND, OR) – McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants, Inc. (NASDAQ: MSSR) announced it has signed a lease for a new restaurant in Minneapolis, the Company’s second location in the area.

The new restaurant will be an M&S Grill, a secondary concept that the Company operates in select markets already home to McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants. The M&S Grill offers a more casual atmosphere featuring a menu with more aged steaks, poultry and entrée salads in addition to fresh seafood selections.

“We are excited to introduce our first M&S Grill to Minneapolis,” said Saed Mohseni, Chief Executive Officer of McCormick & Schmick's. “Our McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant has been extremely well received in this market.  We are confident local residents and visitors of Minneapolis will welcome our new location with open arms, enjoying the unique dining experience and increased menu offerings they will find at M&S Grill, including more aged steaks, burgers and salads.”

The Minneapolis M&S Grill will be located on the corner of 6th Street and Nicollet Mall. It is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2006. The property where the new restaurant will be located, Fifty South Sixth, is managed by Hines, a Houston, Texas-based company.

“Our relationship with McCormick & Schmick’s was established in Washington D.C., where an M&S Grill location has successfully operated in a Hines-developed-and- managed building since 2001,” said Hines Property Manager Todd Adams. “We are confident that the superior location and facilities offered by Fifty South Sixth, combined with McCormick & Schmick’s award-winning reputation for quality and service, will be tremendously successful.”
