Stephanie Biernbaum

Ms. Biernbaum serves the firm as Chief People Officer. In this pivotal role, she oversees all Human Resource activities and responsibilities worldwide, allowing the firm to further embrace evolving trends in career development, diversity and inclusion, analytics and other areas changing the traditional landscape of HR. She is a member of the Hines Senior ESG Leadership Council, leading the firm’s Social responsibility efforts globally.
Before joining Hines, Biernbaum was a consultant with McKinsey & Company for eight years. Most recently, she served as associate partner and a leader in their Organization Practice where she built business strategies and counseled senior executives across institutions ranging from fast-growing startups to Fortune 50 corporations. She specializes in the “people side” of strategy, having focused her work and research on talent strategy, organizational design, culture transformation, diversity and inclusion and leadership development. Prior to McKinsey, she spent seven years at the global retailer Tiffany & Co. in various corporate HR roles. There, she helped open numerous new locations, and her custom leadership-development programs received industry awards.
Biernbaum earned a BA from Emerson College and an MA in Social-Organizational Psychology from Columbia University.
