As an undergrad studying economics at Harvard, Hasani knew he wanted to pursue a career in real estate. The Grand Rapids, Michigan native also aspired to work for a company that would allow him to make an impact and transform communities through positive change.
After thoroughly researching prominent commercial real estate firms around the country, Hasani reached out to a Hines recruiter via LinkedIn. He was offered a development internship in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, which would soon lead to a full-time opportunity.
In his current role as an analyst, Hasani advises on acquisition and disposition strategy, provides financial analysis support and is responsible for project underwriting.
Delivering quality real estate products for the market in which he lives and works is what Hasani considers most rewarding. “If I had to describe my role in one word, it would be dynamic. No two days are alike, and my priorities are always evolving,” he explains.
For those interested in pursuing a career at Hines, Hasani offers the following words of wisdom: “People respond to ambition. Be confident enough to send cold emails to members of the team you hope to join, in addition to those responsible for recruiting. In my experience, I found everyone warm, responsive and willing to offer advice.”
Hasani is passionate about urban development and economic equality. One of his priorities is helping residents in underserved communities attain quality affordable housing. He is the founder of an organization with a mission to assist Washington, D.C.-area teachers participating in the first-time homebuying process.
Outside of the office, Hasani can be found watching blockbuster movies and independent films, as well as exploring the District’s eclectic food scene.
