EPA Recognizes Hines with 2016 Energy Star® Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Award

(HOUSTON) – Hines, the international real estate firm, announced today that it has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with the 2016 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Award for its continued leadership in protecting our environment through superior energy efficiency achievements. The firm’s accomplishments will be recognized in Washington, D.C. on April 13, 2016.

This is the twelfth time Hines has been recognized by the EPA and the ninth time Hines has received the Sustained Excellence Award.

Hines’ portfolio of ENERGY STAR buildings consists of 181 facilities and more than 81.1 million square feet. With an average performance rating of 85.1, the portfolio is 42.5 percent more energy efficient than the national average. “Since the firm’s founding in 1957, we’ve had a high bar in terms of mechanical systems efficiency and energy savings.” said Hines President and CEO Jeffrey C.
