Tour de Ren Aids Phoenix Children’s Hospital

More than 150 cyclers raised $36,921 to fight childhood cancer at the 3rd Annual Tour de Ren, a high-energy fitness event held at Renaissance Square in downtown Phoenix.

Building tenants and vendors, local brokerage firms and downtown partners gathered teams to cycle to a live DJ, securing pledges for Phoenix Children’s Hospital for their efforts.

“The event supports the hospital’s ongoing efforts to treat and cure childhood cancers,” says Renaissance Square property manager Lindy Mertins. “Our patient story this year was Morgan Schnorr, the daughter of a senior project manager with Wespac Construction—the general contractor who completed the multimillion-dollar renovations to our lobbies. Morgan was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2018 and received treatment at Phoenix Children’s while awaiting her liver transplant. We were pleased to have her join us for this event.”

Participants in Tour de Ren enjoyed fresh smoothies from FOODA, event t-shirts, Ren Square swag and cookies decorated for the event. Thanks to the Renaissance Square building management team and sponsors Oaktree Capital and Cypress Office Properties for another winning event.
