Trees Planted in Honor of Texas Tower Timber

Hines Houston’s Local Ambassadors recently held an event at Eastwood Park in partnership with Trees for Houston. Employees, armed with shovels, gloves and lots of dirt, gathered to plant a total of 33 new trees, honoring the amount of timber used to construct millwork on the six floors we’ll occupy at our new global headquarters at Texas Tower. The tree planting in honor of timber used for Hines floors reaffirms our commitment to local neighborhoods and sustainability.

Trees for Houston is a local nonprofit that has planted more than 600,000 trees across the city, promoting sustainability and recognizing the effects of beautification on local neighborhoods. Founded in 1983, Trees for Houston’s mission is to grow, plant and maintain trees throughout the city.
