In November 1994, Hines was hired to provide real estate advisory and development consulting services for a major new campus-style development in Stamford. The financial client wanted to consolidate and relocate its financial trading, office, training and related support space to this new development, contained in an initial phase of 600,000-square-feet including parking for 1,400 cars. The master plan for the development included a 50,000-square-foot, central trading floor that accommodates 800 traders above five levels of parking, which is flanked by three office structures (13, 16 and 24 stories). The full-phased build-out totaled 1.5 million square feet. The project was completed in 1997.
