In 2023, Hines, on behalf of its Hines European Real Estate Partners III (HEREP III) fund, acquired a large-scale industrial motorway-facing plot in Grimma, Germany. It intends to develop two state of the art logistics facilities spanning 1,233,327 sqft in the Leipzig logistics market. The development targets the highest technical specifications and ESG credentials, allowing for net zero carbon operations for prospective tenants. The scheme will be a lighthouse logistics project and aims to be one of the first DGNB Platinum logistics developments in Germany with targeted completion by mid 2025.
