Mr. Lancaster is the firm’s Global Head of Brand, advising ownership, leadership, business lines, clients and offices worldwide on building brand, loyalty and advocacy. Previously, he led the firm’s global marketing and communications effort, overseeing corporate and project marketing, public relations and communications functions. Earlier in his career at Hines, he worked in the firm's mixed-use division leading retail asset marketing for the Dallas and Houston Gallerias. He was later responsible for the redevelopment and repositioning of Canal Place, a market-dominant, mixed-use center in New Orleans.

Lancaster graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BFA in Communications. He has been recognized with numerous industry awards including several from the International Council of Shopping Centers. He is involved with significant philanthropic efforts and serves as board president of Stages Repertory Theatre in Houston. He is a board member of the Meadows Foundation, a family philanthropy to benefit the people of Texas, and is a member of the Houston Arts Alliance Advisory Council, Discovery Green Public Art Committee and the Meadows Museum Advisory Committee.
