Hines Announces Five New Retailers at West Edge

The dynamic destination brings new life to LA’s West Side

(LOS ANGELES) - Adding momentum to its mission to transform the west side of Los Angeles, the city’s newest mixed-use development, West Edge, has announced the addition of five innovative retailers: [solidcore], Artha, Clean Juice, Hammer & Nails and Presotea. West Edge first opened its doors in June 2023 with 600 multifamily apartments and 80,000 square feet of curated retail surrounding a .5-acre, open-air plaza. These new retail announcements come on the heels of the recent opening of Gelson’s, a specialty grocery store iconic to Southern California.

Re-energizing the transit-rich corridor surrounding Bundy and Olympic, West Edge continues to activate its growing tech, entertainment and media district with a well-rounded mix of day-to-night offerings. With new-to-the-neighborhood draws in dining, fitness, wellness, and more, West Edge promises to foster a sense of community between residents, commuters, and the greater public.

“At West Edge, it's our mission to bring a transformative philosophy to a community that values the complete well-being of its residents and guests,” said Rebecca Strom, Managing Director, Hines. “We are confident that these new retailer additions will offer a superior quality of life whether you are living, commuting or visiting West Edge.”

  • Artha, a popular wellness sanctuary, will provide the West Edge community with revitalizing activities like yoga and meditation, as well as Float baths, infrared saunas, and Cryotherapy. Focusing on holistic wellbeing, the studio will also offer treatments ranging from muscle relaxation and facial regeneration to noninvasive body sculpting.
  • Presotea, a pioneering bubble-tea brand from Taiwan, will bring its wide range of exclusive tea-related beverages for residents, shoppers, and professionals to enjoy on-the-go, and is set to open in June.
  • Clean Juice, an organic juice bar known for its cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and acai bowls, is set to open in the summer.
  • Hammer & Nails, set to open in the fall, is a premier men’s grooming destination specializing in haircuts, shaves, and hand + foot care, all in a relaxed environment. Unlike any other in the health and wellness space, the shop will offer a low-lit atmosphere, with tinted exterior windows for privacy, and a dark wood and steel interior.
  • [solidcore], one of the nation’s buzziest fitness studios, opened in 2023, offering their signature high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout.

“[solidcore] loves West Los Angeles for its indulgent eats, youthful vibrancy, and community

feel. [solidcore] has had great success in the greater Los Angeles area, and we were thrilled to welcome local West Los Angeles residents to our blue light community," said [solidcore] Director of Real Estate, Josh Rainey.
