(MADRID) - Hines, the international real estate firm, has announced the appointment of Lorenzo Peñalver as Investment Director in Spain.
Lorenzo has 16 years of experience in operations and financial management in the real estate sector. He joins Hines from Aberdeen Asset Management, where he was Senior Transaction Manager in Spain and Portugal, and Asset Manager for part of its real estate portfolio spanning logistics, office and hotel assets in Spain, and retail properties in Portugal.
Lorenzo also has a wealth of broader real estate experience having worked for a number of leading companies in the sector in Spain and across wider Europe, including AXA Real Estate, Banco Santander, KPMG and Dunas Capital. During this time, he has honed his expertise in design and implementation of investment strategies, search, analysis and execution of real estate investments and asset management.
The new Investment Director at Hines Spain has a notable academic background, with a Cum Laude degree from the Avon Old Farms School, Connecticut (USA) and a degree in Business Administration from the Colegio Universitario De Estudios Financieros (CUNEF) in Madrid.
At Hines Spain, Lorenzo will be responsible for spearheading the analysis and evaluation of new investment opportunities in the country, covering all asset classes with a focus on Madrid and Barcelona, as well as other Spanish benchmark cities for logistics and residential.
