(HOUSTON) – Hines, the international real estate firm, announced today that its portfolio of developed, owned and/or managed properties in the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® program now exceeds 100 million square feet, representing nearly 200 projects.

Hines’ LEED certified and pre-certified properties can be found in metro areas, including: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Jersey City, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Phoenix, San Francisco, Stamford, Toledo and Washington D.C., in addition, to international locations, such as Calgary, Madrid, Milan and San Luis Potosí.
This past Tuesday, in Milan, Hines hosted a Class A buildings forum keynoted by Cushman & Wakefield CEO John Cushman and Hines Chairman Gerald D. Hines in which the value of sustainability to owners, tenants and investors was discussed.
Hines’ Porta Nuova project in Milan includes seven office buildings, all of which are to be LEED certified, a first for Italy.
