(HOUSTON) – Hines, the international real estate firm, announced today that Gary Holtzer has been named Global Sustainability Officer (GSO).
In this capacity, he will be responsible for coordinating the firm’s sustainability efforts worldwide; working with the firm’s Executive Committee, regional and central business units on the firm’s ongoing sustainability strategy; and overseeing the efforts of the Hines Sustainability Taskforce, an internal standing committee.
Since joining Hines in 1985, Holtzer, a corporate vice president, has been responsible for asset and portfolio management and property operations.
In addition to the new GSO responsibilities, he will continue as portfolio manager of Hines’ U.S. green office development fund. Holtzer will continue to be based in San Francisco.
