(COPENHAGEN) – Hines, the international real estate firm, announces that CeriX has signed a lease for 1,550 square meters at the centrally located property Koebmagergade 24 on the main pedestrian high street in Copenhagen.
CeriX is Denmark’s largest chain of cosmetic clinics and Koebermagerdage 24 will become its new headquarters containing its first beauty and lifestyle house. Koebmagergade itself is a prime shopping street and home to many of the city’s luxury brands including Louis Vuitton, Prada, Jimmi Choo and the exclusive department store Illum.
CeriX will occupy four floors of the building including a fully functioning cosmetics clinic performing laser and beauty treatments by professional clinicians, its training institute, conference rooms, and a warehouse. The ground floor will be converted into CeriX’s flagship store offering beauty and lifestyle products as well as cosmetic consultations across four newly decorated rooms.
Koebmagergade 24 is part of the Viking portfolio comprising five prime high-street retail assets with associated office and living components, which was acquired in 2017 by German investment company Universal Investment, on behalf of its Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK) fund and is managed by Hines. The transaction marked Hines’ first entry into the Danish market.
Since that time, Hines’ Danish portfolio has grown with notable transactions this year including Ventrupparken 3-5, the urban logistics facility spanning 60,750 square meters in Greve and Mariendalsvej 55-57, its second living asset in Denmark, located in Frederiksberg.
CeriX expects to open its new premises in the second quarter of 2022 and will commence a refurbishment program ahead of opening.
Christian Droob, Director – Asset Management, at Hines in the Nordics, said
“We are thrilled that CeriX has chosen our centrally located property as its future headquarters, housing treatment clinics and its first ever Beauty & Lifestyle House. Koebmagergade is one of the most vibrant and busy shopping streets in Denmark, and in our view this great building is ideal for CeriX. We look forward to seeing them prosper even further in this new location and look forward to collaborating with this exciting occupier going forward.”
Kjenneth Holm, Director and Owner at CeriX, said,
”It was important for CeriX to be situated in a prime position where many Copenhageners walk by every day and Købmagergade is called ‘The Copenhagen street’ for a reason. We are therefore happy to be able to open the doors, in the middle of the most exclusive shopping area in Copenhagen.”
Kim Borch, Director at Kvadrat Bolig & Erhverv said:
“We are happy and proud of our cooperation with Hines’ Nordic team, where we have advised in the residential-, office and retail sector. We are especially proud of this lease at Koebmagergade 24, where we in close cooperation with Hines have leased out and transformed Koebmagergade 24 into the new headquarters for CeriX.”
Hines was advised by Kvadrat Bolig & Erhverv on the leasing.
