(SAN ANTONIO) – Hines, the international real estate firm, is pleased to welcome several new tenants to the RIM, a 1,812,492-square-foot power center in San Antonio. Steel City Pops opened its second San Antonio area location just in time for the summer heat. The center is also gearing up for the opening of Torchy’s Tacos and Panera Bread.
Steel City Pops—an Alabama-based, family operated popsicle chain—features unique, refreshing flavors such as Arnold Palmer, Horchata and Mocha Brownie Blast. The menu also features gluten and dairy-free options. The 1,156-square-foot store front is the second location in the San Antonio area, and fans lined up out the door to get a taste of the new location when it opened its doors.
Fan favorite, Torchy’s Tacos will open a new, 3,965-square-foot restaurant featuring a full bar and a 700-square-foot patio. The Austin-based eatery will serve up their ever-popular menu of “Damn Good” tacos and has announced plans to celebrate with a preview event August 20 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with complementary tacos, drinks, chips and dips, swag giveaways and more. This is the second San Antonio location for Torchy’s, and doors will officially open at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 21.
Construction is also well underway on a new 5,639-square-foot Panera Bread location at the RIM. This will be San Antonio’s seventh location and feature a 645-square-foot patio for guests to enjoy their menu of quick-serve soups, salads, sandwiches and assorted baked goods.
“We are thrilled to welcome Steel City Pops, Torchy’s Tacos and Panera Bread to the impressive list of offerings here at the RIM. With almost two million square feet of shopping, dining and entertainment, we are excited to bring in new, fresh concepts to serve our clientele,” commented Chris Oviatt, general manager of the RIM.
Roger Anderson of CBRE represented Hines for all three leases.
