Hines served as development manager for EdgeX Data Center, originally built as the standalone corporate data center for Devon Energy. The 65,000-square-foot facility was commissioned in 2009 and opened in 2010. It includes two 10,000-square-foot data halls and office support areas. The purpose-built Tier III facility is certified LEED Silver.
Local Oklahoma City firm Frankfort Short Bruza Architects provided architectural and engineering services, with specialty IT design services provided by Cosentini. The center is designed to support mission critical systems with a high level of redundancy. The building structure is designed to withstand F5 tornadoes within a hardened site perimeter.
