Sustainable development takes many forms, and Hines has developed a skill base in refurbishing existing buildings, extending the lifespan and upgrading the facilities to provide Grade A accommodation.

Hines UK works with specialist energy efficiency assessors to target areas that will ensure buildings are energy efficient and operate effectively.

The White House at our Hyde Park Hayes development is a case in point.  Working with Hermes Real Estate and La Salle Investment Management, we have refurbished this building increasing its Energy Performance Certificate from an original F to D as part of a comprehensive refurbishment plan to improve energy efficiency across the Hermes portfolio. The building has recently been let in its entirety to Rackspace Limited, the UK subsidiary of one the global leaders in cloud computing.
