Hines UK Appoints New Director
Hines UK has appointed Anthony Leonard as director on the firm’s UK Management Board.
The appointment recognises Leonard’s key contribution to the evolution of the firm over the last four years. He has played a pivotal role in identifying and securing major deals such as the recent acquisition of Stonecutter Court in London’s midtown, and the acquisition of Brindleyplace in Birmingham, which was completed last summer.
Leonard joined Hines UK in 2007, and has held various roles as an analyst and in new business generation. He is currently part of the Hines UK acquisition team, structuring and delivering deals for Hines funds such as the Hines Global REIT and Hines European Development Fund, as well as for other third-party investment partners.
“We’re delighted to welcome Anthony to the Hines UK Management Board. His thorough, analytical approach and due diligence have been critical in securing some of Hines’ most significant recent transactions. He will be a very valuable addition to the management team,” said Jay Wyper, managing director, Hines UK.
In his new role, Leonard will assume additional leadership and management responsibilities helping to develop the Hines UK team.
“I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to broaden my contribution and commitment to the Hines UK management team,” commented Leonard. “The new role means I will be even more focused on generating new business and helping Hines UK to fulfil its strategic business objectives.”
Prior to joining Hines UK, Leonard worked for Hammerson Plc in the real estate development team, before which he was a real estate tax consultant with Arthur Andersen. He is a chartered accountant and graduate of Oxford University.
