Christopher D. Hughes, Washington, DC
CEO - Capital Markets and East Region

Mr. Hughes joined Hines in 1986.  He serves as CEO of the Capital Markets Group, Hines’ Office of Investments, and as the CEO of the Firm’s Eastern U.S. region.  He is a member of the Firm’s Executive, Steering, and Investment Committees, and he chairs the Capital Markets Committee.  He oversees all institutional capital raising activities, structuring of commingled funds and joint ventures globally. As CEO-East Region, he is the regional profit center officer responsible for all development activity, acquisitions and operations in the Eastern United States.   In the past, he served as a development officer in the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office specializing in development and acquisitions of real estate.  He graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BA in History.

Christopher A. Keber, New York, NY
Senior Managing Director - Capital Markets

Mr. Keber joined Hines in 2012. He serves as a senior managing director in the New York office where he has global responsibilities within the Capital Markets Group for structuring and capitalizing the firm’s investment vehicles. Prior to Hines, Mr. Keber was a Partner and Director of Global Capital Raising at Starwood Capital Group, a private equity firm based in Greenwich, Connecticut. Previously, Mr. Keber worked in the New York office of Credit Suisse in the Real Estate Private Funds Group, a leading adviser to private equity firms dedicated to real estate.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University and an MBA (Real Estate) from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where he is the outgoing Chairman of the business school’s Alumni Council. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Pension Real Estate Association. 

Lars Huber, London, UK

Mr. Huber joined Hines in 1996. He serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Hines European/MENA regional office. Mr. Huber continues to oversee the European Capital Markets team and is involved with key investor relationships, structuring commingled funds, joint ventures and raising equity capital globally. In his prior roles at Hines, he contributed to the development of various mixed-use and office projects in Germany totaling 2.2 million square feet and he headed up the Hines Munich office until 2004. Upon relocating to London in 2005, he oversaw the Hines European Value Added Fund as fund manager focusing on office, residential and retail investments in Western Europe totaling over € 800 million of volume. He graduated from the European Business School in Frankfurt in 1996, and has been a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors since 1999.

Young C. Lim, Seoul, South Korea

Mr. Lim joined Hines in 2011. He is serves as managing director and is responsible for raising equity capital for Hines global initiatives from Asian investors. Prior to joining Hines, he worked for a Seoul-based investment manager, Mirae Asset, where he had various responsibilities including sourcing and executing deals in Korea, China and Brazil for the various real estate funds the firm was managing. He also headed up the firm’s representative office in Shanghai, China. He graduated from Seoul National University with a BS in Civil, Urban, and Geo-system Engineering and received his Master of City Planning with Certificate in Real Estate Design and Development from the University of Pennsylvania.

Alexander James, London, UK

Mr. James joined Hines in 2008. Based in London, he is responsible for raising equity capital from European and other ex-US investors for Hines global initiatives. In addition, he works in structuring funds and other investment vehicles. Prior to joining Hines, Mr. James worked for Lehman Brothers in the Global Real Estate Group and at Dresdner Kleinwort as an independent consultant in capital markets. Before that he had a former career as a warfare officer in the British Royal Navy, serving globally. He is a graduate of Britannia Royal Naval College and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Astrophysics from University College London, and an MBA from the London Business School.

Michael Haas, Munich, Germany

Mr. Haas joined Hines in 2008. He is a member of the Hines Capital Markets Group and is responsible for investor relations and raising equity for Hines global initiatives with a focus on investors from German speaking countries, Benelux and CEE. Additionally, he is involved in structuring commingled funds and other investment vehicles as well as general business development of Hines’ German operations. He holds a degree in business administration (Diplom-Kaufmann) from the International Real Estate Business School, University of Regensburg, Germany, and received his MSc in Real Estate Finance & Investment from the Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK.

J. Mark Earley, Houston, TX
Senior Managing Director - Hines Office of Investments

Mr. Earley joined Hines in 2003. He serves as President of Hines Securities, Inc. As President he is responsible for managing Hines’ FINRA registered broker dealer as well as working with key Hines distribution relationships.  Prior to joining Hines, Mr. Earley was a regional sales and marketing director for Morgan Stanley, where he supervised sales for the proprietary asset management group and the sales and marketing activities of 65 branch offices.  Mr. Earley is a general securities principal and holds a Texas real estate broker’s license.  He is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in business.
