In 2020, Hines acquired Lenbachgaerten in Munich on behalf of two German investors. Lenbachgaerten is comprised of two first class office buildings that are currently leased to tenants like Apple, Blackspace and Zirngibl. Both buildings total approximately 324,000 square feet (30,200 square meters) and have been awarded with the DGNB Gold certificate for sustainability.
The properties are part of a mixed-use development that includes office, living/housing, restaurants, and a 5-star hotel. The complex is located just a few minutes from Munich's main railway station, which acts as an international traffic hub, and Stachus square in a rapidly growing urban environment.
Hines will serves as asset manager and complete ongoing refurbishments.
